OAS Reklambyra AB is a full-service Swedish digital communications agency. Stretching from creative and visual to technology, they have been helping businesses and entrepreneurs with graphics, content, SEO, and IT across diverse platforms for years.

The client operates in the media & entertainment sector and had an existing iOS app, SMPF, that needed to be brought up to date. Their goal was to keep users well-informed of the latest news and upcoming activities through a fast, reliable, and visually updated mobile experience.

The client wanted a full redesign of their existing iOS app, with compatibility extended to devices from iPhone 4S onwards. The app needed to load fast, look sharp on newer device families, and work smoothly across the latest iOS versions.

Code optimisation was a key requirement. The existing codebase needed restructuring to improve performance and maintainability. Updated graphics for newer device families and proper library management were also part of the scope.

Our Solution

We redesigned the SMPF iOS app with a focus on compatibility, performance, and visual accuracy across modern Apple devices. Code restructuring was carried out using the latest Xcode IDE, giving the app a solid foundation for long-term maintainability.

We integrated auto-resizing and storyboard techniques for consistent design flow handling across screen sizes. Graphics were updated specifically for newer device families, iPhone 7, 7+, 8, 8+, and iPad Pro, ensuring fast launch times and a clean visual experience.

Pods were enabled and implemented for proper library management, and advanced compatibility techniques were applied throughout to future-proof the codebase.
