StatuesQue is a UK-based offline store that deals in eye-appealing comic book action figures, superhero statues, wall-art posters, fanboy collectibles, and crafty t-shirts. The brand was receiving a great response on their product range. Therefore, they decided to go digital via PrestaShop. Selecting this open-source CMS provided StatuesQue with a lot of features to market its products more creatively.

Having an exciting range of items from leading comic book brands such as Marvel, DC, Star Wars, XM Studios, etc, their webshop managed to maintain an exciting user interface to appeal to relevant audiences. Furthermore, the smooth UX and fast page loading speed both on mobile and web resolutions is ensuring a premium brand feel.

StatuesQue has its online webshop running on PrestaShop CMS. As they have an amazing collection of wall art, action figures, wearables, and collectibles from leading brands to manage, they reached out to Nethues’s certified PrestaShop developers for help. We were tasked to create a custom Prestashop partial payment module for their webshop.

The module aims to work for both, the admin and the customer. It should display both the parties’ upcoming EMI details, such as amount, last date, penalty charges, etc. The module must also offer a one-tap pay button alongside the EMI details. This would improve the user experience, and help the customer pay their dues easily.

Besides, the module must provide the admin with a ‘Cancel Subscription’ functionality in the backend to block scammers. It should further automatically send a confirmation to the registered customer’s mail ID once the EMI is settled.

Later, the client shared their concerns regarding promotional product labels and marketing pop-ups. They requested functionality to highlight the products that have a limited pricing offer deal on them. It would help their site visitors identify a great deal, and eventually boost the conversion rate.

Our certified PrestaShop developer created a project blueprint to smoothen the workflow process. The blueprint was verified and discussed with the client to prevent unexpected intermediate challenges for the project. Having the policy to maintain 100% workflow transparency, Nethues set up professional project management and communication tools such as Basecamp, Trello, and Slack. Furthermore, to help the client communicate directly with the developer, professional Skype profiles and team discussion channels were created.

Post that, the PrestaShop developer proceeded toward the module’s architecture design, code execution, and functionality testing. To verify if the module is functioning correctly, they integrated it into their demo webshop operating on a staging server and then incorporated it into StatuesQue’s PrestaShop webshop. Our team monitored the webshop’s vitals and performance on multiple browsers, operating systems, and mobile resolutions post-module integration. After we were done with the module aspect, we proceeded on to the promotional product labeling feature.

Nethues PrestaShop development team decided to lessen the load on the webshop. So, instead of creating another custom module, we searched PrestaShop’s marketplace of extensions. We found a suitable plugin with promotional marketing features like product labels, discount offers, product highlighters, etc. After the client’s approval over a professional team call, we installed the plugin and configured it for optimal performance.
