Magento Live Europe 2019

The evolution of commerce is at an inflection point. Over the last few years, huge steps have been taken to narrow down the “experience gap” between online and in-store shopping. Well, this seems to be happening since the industry has long begun to tap into advanced technologies like AI/machine learning and AR, among others. This wave of change is bringing to light new innovations that enhancing shopping experiences and redefining how will retailers run their businesses in the near future.

However, these technologies are constantly progressing and evolving as eCommerce developers and platforms like Magento are catering to users’ needs. With an increasing number of online customers, eCommerce platforms, especially Magento, are doing everything required to transform the online shopping experience.

Here, we are going to talk about cutting-edge commerce tech coming out of the MagentoLive Europe that happened on 22-23 October in Amsterdam. Magento, on the day of the event posted, “Today, we’re kicking off MagentoLive Europe 2019 by unveiling new capabilities to our industry-leading commerce platform that empowers SMB and mid-market merchants to better orchestrate the shopping experience they deliver to their customers. We’re now at an inflection point where companies of all sizes are perpetually challenged by soaring customer expectations to deliver amazing brand experiences. We’re committed to bringing Adobe’s enterprise-grade commerce capabilities to our SMB and mid-market customers to help them grow their business. ”

Let’s highlight the noteworthy enhancements to the Magento platform:

Amazon Sales Channel Extension
Amazon Sales Channel is now available in Magento for the Amazon U.K. Marketplace, with support for additional European territories arriving next year. The extension for Magento Commerce and Open-Source removes the entry barriers for merchants who are trying to gain a strong position with Amazon while managing their channel. It also allows brands to easily integrate their catalog, establish a bi-directional data flow and manage listings from their Magento admin.

Early Access Program for Product Recommendations
At Imagine, Magento had announced that Product Recommendations feature powered by Adobe Sensei will be directly integrated into Magento Commerce. At MagentoLive Europe, the launch of the Early Access Program for this feature has been announced. Magento Commerce merchants that are part of the program will be able to leverage the feature directly within the Magento admin from January 2020.

Magento Commerce on Microsoft Azure
The event saw multi-cloud capability being bolstered by making Magento Commerce available on both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). With both Azure and AWS offered as the underlying provider, Magento merchants can now choose their preferred cloud provider and deploy innovations without worrying about the day-to-day management of their infrastructure. Further, the Early Access Program for Azure support will begin next year.

Adobe Stock Integration
Ever since Magento became a part of Abode, the community has been making great progress in integrating Adobe Stock with Magento Commerce and Open Source. The same was a topic of discussion at MagentoLive Europe. This highly anticipated feature is ought to provide a searchable interface within the Magento admin to discover, preview and embed licensed stock images within the platform. The integration will give merchants with an Adobe Stock subscription quick access to Adobe Stock’s 130+ million assets, including images, templates, 3D assets, 8+ million stock videos and over 750,000 premium collection images. Further, it will enable Magento to control their vast community of 350+ solution partners and 300K developers in accelerating the delivery of product roadmap.

Availability of Magento Commerce 2.3.3 and Magento Open Source 2.3.3
After Magento 2.3.2, Magento 2.3.3 is all set to impress users. Bringing substantial performance improvements and security enhancements, the version will allow Magento customers to remain compliant with new directives and regulations. “Starting with 2.3.3 we are bundling Yotpo’s leading customer ratings, reviews, and visual marketing capabilities into the Magento core as a vendor bundled extension. Now merchants can more quickly tap strategic partner technologies directly within the Magento code, without needing to download and install them from the Magento Marketplace”, said the community. Further, Google Shopping ads Channel will also be a major part of the latest 2.3.3 core code.

These were some of the major capabilities. Are we missing out on any?  We’d love to hear from you so that we can love Magento a little more.
